Get to Know Me

Hello! I am Kathi Ondus with Simply Kards By Kathi.  I started stamping and cardmaking almost 30+ years ago as an activity I would do in the evening and weekends with my two young daughters.  What started out as a hobby blossomed into a passion. If you were to ask me my style, I would have to say variety!  I love quick and easy cards, but, I, also, like to step it up a notch!  I, absolutely, love making fun folds, coloring with Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils, and learning new techniques to incorporate into my card making. I guess one could say "I love it all!!"

Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is an amazing and rewarding experience.  I meet wonderful people, make new friends and build a close knit community with which I look forward to spending time.   It, also, allows me to help others throughout their stamping and card making journey.  Whether I am helping new customers recognize that they don't need alot to get started and provide them with all options to enjoy the craft, teaching the basics or expanding their knowledge to "step it up a notch," I feel privileged that my customer put their confidence in me to help them with their crafting needs.

On A Personal Note:
I am married to my best friend and love of my life, Frank, for 45 years.  We have two grown daughters, wonderful son-in-laws and five amazing grandchildren. We are blessed to live close to, both, of our daughters and their families with our two Golden Retrievers, Bailey and Cooper.  I am a retired nurse/nurse practitioner.  I enjoy reading, gardening and doing therapy visits with our Goldens.

On the Personal Side

I am married 45 years to "my best friend."  We have two grown children, five grandchildren, three rescue cats and two Golden Retrievers.  I am fortunate to have all of my family local and within 20 minutes of me.  Our Golden is a trained therapy dog.  We love visiting hospitals, nursing homes and schools.  My other interests include gardening, making puzzles, sewing and reading.

My Blog Motto

"Explore your skills and learn new techniques with me.  There are no mistakes, just unique creations made with love and care."  You never know what you can do, until you try!  We all have a unique, creative side to us just waiting to be unleashed. No two people are alike. No two people will stamp or papercraft alike.  But, I believe anyone can make beautiful, unique and expressive greeting cards, which is what makes this craft so exciting.
